I recently learned that my grandson, Abel James Williams, has been diagnosed with cancer. His Stage III neuroblastoma will be treated with chemotherapy at Golisano Children’s Hospital. The oncologist said this will be at least a year-long process, the prognosis is 50-50 under the best circumstances. What is known about such situations is that the presence of a loving family member improves the odds.
